  • Directed vision through creation of 3D visuals for internal look development of ‘Avatars on IG Vision’ strategy in product.

  • Contributed animated mockups, rough product flows, and 3D renders to steer conceptual vision.

  • Lead and art directed the first AR based Avatar effect ‘Dance with Avatars’ on Instagram from concept to dogfooding.

Avatar Look Development

Enhanced pre existing Meta Avatar 3D model through shading and lighting for visual Vision target as well as a quality target when helping facilitate the ingestion of the Avatar SDK into Spark AR, as well as for pitches to expand our offerings of avatars on platform.

Real World Avatars

Pitched the idea to re-think Avatars on IG entirely, what if Avatars on IG were much closer visually to the filters and effects users already hire Instagram for? What if Avatars on IG were a hybrid of face filter and 3D character super-powered through ML tech?

Conceptually exploring entrypoint and functionality for the Avatars product in Instagram bio. Made during an XFN sprint but the concept was pitched by me, visualized in partnership with a product designer and was received favorably.
